# Joining The Community

### Infinitar's Community-Centric Vision

At Infinitar, we believe in the power of community to drive the future of Web3. We prioritize community involvement in all aspects of our game and are transitioning towards a decentralized model where the community will own the game through DAO mechanisms. Until then, we utilize traditional web technologies for voting, gameplay, and contributions.

Building a community-driven game is more challenging than traditional development, but we are confident this approach is essential for the long-term growth of Infinitar.

### Bootstrapped Vision

Our vision for Infinitar is ambitious, aiming for a development timeline of 2-3 years with the support of a skilled team. This vision demands substantial capital, but our revenue model differs from the typical approach of large initial investments through NFT and token sales without actual gameplay. Instead, our revenue is generated only when players engage with the game, through small fees and taxes, ensuring that our focus remains on delivering a quality gaming experience.

### Community Competitions

The stunning artwork in Infinitar is largely the result of contributions from our talented community members. We host a variety of open-source art competitions, allowing the skilled pixel artists within our community to actively participate in the design process. Over time, we will move towards a more decentralized approach to Community NFT crafting, enabling anyone to launch their artwork without needing approval from the core team.

### Giving Back to the Community ❤️

A core objective of Infinitar is to onboard more people into the Web3 space and contribute to building a decentralized future. We don’t believe in guaranteeing rewards as a way to attract contributors, as this doesn’t necessarily foster a healthy, long-term community. Instead, we focus on nurturing those who are passionate about the project. Over time, those who contribute will find themselves pleasantly surprised by the recognition and rewards they receive.

We show our appreciation to the community through spontaneous gestures such as:

* **In-game care packages**
* **Early access to new features**
* **Play-to-drop opportunities**
* **In-game accreditation**
* **Community Badges**

### Non-Transferrable Token Badges

We offer a variety of Non-Transferrable Token Badges to recognize the contributions of our community members. These badges are locked to an account and are only awarded to active contributors. Badges can be removed if a player is no longer active. Available badges include:

* **Coder's Badge**
* **Artist's Badge**
* **Moderator's Badge**
* **LP Badge**

These badges serve as a testament to the dedication and passion of those who help shape the future of Infinitar.
